Exceptionally comfortable place for a visit to Funchal, it has historic location down to the waters edge at the bottom of the cliff and exceptional services. Delightful staff, gorgeous breakfasts. Sao Martinho district deserves your attention.

Main bar and heated pool. Free soft drinks, strong wifi were a nice surprise. Set so close to the sea and the most beautiful cliff in Funchal in the lovely area.

I loved unbeatable location and how the place is spotlessly clean. Absolutely breathtaking view, a large balcony, large bed, too. Service there was impeccable, the staff were highly efficient. Easy walk to the lovely beach.

Location and service - everything was so very clean. Very very good building, spotless and super big bedroom. A beautiful beach, picturesque view. I went to a wonderful restaurant and liked the ethnic dishes. Lovely garden and lovely pool.

it was a really enjoyable experience in a glorious hotel. the breakfast was splendid, marvellous service, helpful stuff. my wife loved the bed, it was comfortable and we slept like in a cloud.

The weather was sunny, had BEST stay. Room was absolutely fabulous, the bed was spacious, breakfast was good hot. The airport was 25 km away from here, spectacular location. Very amiable, informative staff. The early check-in process too.

nice base for a 2-night stay. it's a traditional hotel, it has outstanding staff and views. there's lots of restaurants to choose from, like cris's place, set within 5 minutes walk or so.
